Costa Rica Fishing - White Marlin Picture

Fish Description: White Marlin are typically a beautiful blue to dark blue on top sometimes even a little brown that turns in a silvery side and white underbelly. It has noticeable spots on the dorsal fins and its upper jaw is elongated in shape of spear. The Marlins body is covered with imbedded scales. Its lateral line is curved above the pectoral fin and then it goes in a straight line to the base of the fishes tail.

Size: Common to 8 feet.

Remarks: A Marlin uses its bill to stun or shock a fast moving fish in which it follows that to swallow them. Main diet of squid and pelagic fish.
