Fish Description: The color is olive green or black and upper sides, all fins below the lateral line have a reddish tinge. Mutton Snapper have a bright blue line below the eye, following the contour of operculum. The anal fin is pointed and has a small black spot below the dorsal fin. It has v-shaped tooth patch on roof of mouth.
Size: Common to 15 pounds.
Remarks: Mutton Snapper typically feed on fish, crustaceans, and snails.
